Ryan is a trusted leader in global patent and trademark prosecution, specializing in building and managing high-value intellectual property portfolios for clients ranging from startups to multinational corporations. With a keen eye for innovation protection, he develops tailored, forward-thinking patent and trademark strategies that maximize value, ensure long-term protection, and provide cost predictability.

His technical expertise spans many industries and technologies including mechanical and aerospace engineering, medical devices, process engineering, automotive, software, user interfaces, and artificial intelligence. Beyond securing patents and trademarks, Ryan has extensive experience in licensing, defense, and enforcement—both at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and in Federal Court—as well as leading global enforcement efforts across the U.S., China, Europe, and Japan.

Deeply engaged in the Orange County legal and the intellectual property community, Ryan serves on the Board of Directors of the Orange County Bar Association and as the Chair of the Economic Survey Subcommittee of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA).

Ryan is also involved in improving both California and Federal law through his work as a Director-at-Large of the Conference of California Bar Associations (CCBA). He is also a member of the Legislation and Regulations Committee of the International Trademark Association (INTA) and represents the Orange County Bar Association as a delegate to the American Bar Association.
