Umberg Zipser LLP Expands Litigation Practice in Orange County

Orange County, CA – June 16, 2025 – Umberg Zipser LLP is pleased to announce the continued growth of its highly regarded litigation practice with the addition of two new litigation associates, Chris Wang and Ryan T. Tran. These strategic hires reflect the firm’s commitment to delivering exceptional legal services and deepening its bench of talented litigators in Orange County.

Chris Wang joins the firm from Gibson Dunn and brings a strong background in complex litigation. A graduate of the University of California, Irvine School of Law, magna cum laude, Chris was awarded both the Dean’s Merit Scholarship and Dean’s Honors Scholarship. He served as Notes and Comments Editor for the UC Irvine Law Review and received the Faculty Award in Mergers & Acquisitions. During law school, Chris was a Certified Law Student in the Immigrant Rights Clinic, where he represented detained immigrants on bond and asylum matters.

Ryan T. Tran comes to Umberg Zipser from Holland & Knight’s Newport Beach office, where he was a member of the West Coast Litigation Practice Group. His practice focuses on a wide range of business litigation matters, including contract disputes, fraud claims, and real estate conflicts. Ryan earned his J.D. from UCLA School of Law, where he served as a research assistant to Professors David Marcus and Ingrid Eagly. He also dedicates time to pro bono work, including asylum advocacy and providing legal support to low-income and unhoused individuals.
