Umberg/Zipser LLP is thrilled to announce that Mei Tsang has been selected as a 2023 Top 10 DEI Champion of Orange County, by the Orange County Coalition for Diversity in the Law (OCCDL). Mei was presented with this honor at the recent OCCDL Awards Gala on October 12, 2023.
This prestigious award is a testament to Mei’s outstanding achievements, and her dedication to making our legal community more inclusive and equitable. For example, Mei has been the co-chair of the Orange County Bar Association (OCBA)’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee since 2018. She has spearheaded many DEI programs for OCBA and has been an ambassador for DEI causes to the legal community and earned the DEI Leadership Seal from the State Bar. Mei has written multiple articles on DEI and related topics regarding the legal profession and has lectured on DEI topics to law schools and community groups. She is also currently the Treasurer of OCBA, and the Immediate Past President of Community Legal Aid of SoCal, the largest pro bono legal services provider in California. We are incredibly proud of Mei’s accomplishments.
